With Talk That Talk's 21st November release date growing ever nearer, Rihanna has shared her second single from the new album, 'You Da One'. She needn't have bothered. Dr. Luke took up the production and tried (and failed) with his pop-step again, he did succeed in something though, creating a generic and mundane track, It's becoming a habit. With such intrusive lyrics on the successful first single, 'We Found Love', the lyrics were always going to be lackluster in comparison but you would at least expect them to be sung in a daring, exciting way. Instead her vocals live up to their poor reputation and the single leaves nothing to be wanted other than for the pain brought to my ears to end. I thought after witnessing her actually sing to a good standard on the Loud Tour that there was hope we could continue to credit her for her vocal abilities, obviously not:
I haven't been impressed with either of the two singles from 'Talk That Talk' so far, with such an outstanding previous album, for the new rushed TTT to be anywhere near as great, there needs to be some big surprises. The Hov feature could just save the day.
