Mini-Movie video alert! I thought they were a thing of the past but nope, Maroon 5 show us how to escape a bank heist in their 'Payphone' video, Blockbuster (and how to get yourself shot) style. I'm sure Wiz Khalifa had absolutely nothing to contribute to the research for the vido production, he obviously directed it from experiences drawn from watching action films alone, obviously. The video is incredible, maybe a little too good because you're so engrossed in the visuals the audio is of less importance. Everything is going so well but then Wiz appears on the screen and things fizzle out quicker than a Catherine wheel. He provides the wall for your imagination to crash into. The song is just about emphatic enough to inflate an airbag or two so all is not lost, but it would have been perfect minus the rapper. Huge budget, great video, rubbish collab:
